o.k. i guess. its not really that big a deal.. we all know that baseball is one of those sports where losses are much more common..
no so much talkin about um losing earlier in the week to ark state...
the indians may be a pretty fair team.
but losing to illonis cental chicago.. damn that school doesn't even have bleachers at their ballpark..

for us.... anytime you lose your top 4 starters, and 2 of the most productive offensive players in the conference, you're going to have a dropoff...
Sun rise in the east.... and it sets up in the West, yes the sun rise in east baby, and it sets up in the west..... It's hard to tell, hard to tell, hard to tell, which one, which one I love best.....

never know, our recruiting has been great the past few years, like i told you the other day, Satterwhite has all the potential in the world, he improved to 3-0 yesterday, 6 innings, 4 hits, no runs, not bad for his 3rd ever div. 1 start. Granted, it was illinois chicago, but he's still got potential. TB had an off night friday night, didn't pitch his normal self. Lance Lynn has thrown well today so far.

Answer to question posed to start the thread. Not much. Still too early in the season to be getting too giddy or too depressed. Lots of baseball left to play.
UM swept Maine recently, an NCAA tourney team last season. And took 2 of 3 from EIU, also an NCAA tourney team last season. Not too bad for a young baseball team.
Rebs will travel to UCLA soon for a 3 game series, which should give us a pretty good indication of where the team is at this point before the start of SEC play. UCLA has done pretty well so far this season against some traditional baseball powers.
Rebs have some young arms with talent who need a little seasoning. Also have some young talented hitters who should come on stronger as the season progresses.
Arkansas State has a couple of former UM players coaching them --- Keith Kessinger and Brad Henderson. This is probably the reason they have played so well against us the last couple of seasons. Go figure.
