SEC Predictions
I know football is a little down the road, but predict the order of finish in the SEC East and West.
West:
(1) LSU
(2) Arkansas
(3) Auburn
(4) Ole Miss
(5) Alabama
(6) State
East:
(1) Florida
(2) Georgia
(3) South Carolina
(4) UT
(5) Kentucky
(6) Vandy
I hate Arkansas but I have a feeling they are going to be tough with McFadden and the rest of the returning starters.

at this point..... you can definitely see who's the most talented teams, but i feel like it's going to be a toss-up this year.. minus your perennial powerhouses.....
Sun rise in the east.... and it sets up in the West, yes the sun rise in east baby, and it sets up in the west..... It's hard to tell, hard to tell, hard to tell, which one, which one I love best.....

I think the wild cards in the West are Auburn, Arkansas, and Ole Miss. I really think Arkansas and Auburn could be great or could be pretty bad. Kenny Irons is a stud and Auburn has recruited well over the last few years, but their O-line may have some holes. Arkansas has talent and now experience, but they also have Houston Nutt as the coach, and they are Arkansas. Ole Miss will be as good as Schaeffer will allow them to be coupled with their O-line. I think their defense will be solid. Also, Coach O needs to prove he and his new staff are game day coaches, which was not proven last year. However, they had no talent.
I am not against State, but I just can't see that much improvement for them. Not to bash State but they probably don't have two players right now that would start for LSU.
If Les Miles plays his cards right, LSU should be the class of the West, from a talent perspective. Their QB situation should be fun to watch. They lost a lot on the O-line as well.
Urban Meyer has a weird offense, but I think he adjusts to the SEC enough to win the west over a rebuilding (or reloading) Georgia team and a scrappy South Carolina team.
I think the only legit national title contender in the SEC is LSU.

Well, its early but...barring a miracle, there will be NO team in the SEC with a realistic shot at the national title....
East
UF...if you think Chris Leake looked nervous behind his O-Line last year...how's he gonna look breaking in a new offensive line??? Not gonna be fun for them....still think they contend in the east with 3 losses....
USC- probably the favorite they lose quite a few players, but a lot of the younger guys got some good playin' time this year...and that Spurrier offense allows them to win the East with a tie breaker over Florida....
UGA...probably gonna lose 3 maybe 4 during the regular season...new QB's are so uncertain, we could have a true freshman (Matt Stafford, Rivals No.1 QB) starting at UGA but i don't think so...got a pretty good redshirt Freshman named Joe Cox but he's never run the offense, a Sophomore QB with all the physical talents who can't pick up the system (Blake Barnes), and a 5th year Senior (Joe Tereshinski) who's tough as nails but "just ain't got it"... the way I see it if they win 7 games they'll be about where they should be...anything else i will consider a bonus.... Of course they do have 3 VERY SOLID RB's returning...Kregg Lumpkin could be the star this fall and if the QB's get it together (and Richt is one of the best QB developers in the SEC)...well they Might end up in Atlanta in December again...but there are some HUGE if's right now that make that unlikely....
UT - big question...can Phat Phil get it together next year...I think with Cuttcliff back he can somewhat...but still staring at 3-4 losses at least...the next year though they may be all the way back...Cutcliff can develop QB's....
everybody else is an "also ran"
West....
LSU - still not sold on Les Miles, didn't look like he had the Tigers ready to play ball in the SEC Championship game (kinda like UGA in the Sugar Bowl).... But, they probably had more talent than anybody else in the SEC... They lose 3 this year due to coaching mistakes, and their defense is exposed further...2nd in the West...only because of a late season loss....
Auburn...another possible 3 loss team that could win it all...they have some serious losses at the line, and all their big time recievers are gone.... But, Irons is still there, and they may have the SEC's best QB....the defense will be a question too...so I think they'll come up just short.....
Arkansas...the team that i think comes out of nowehere and wins the west with 3 losses...beating LSU to do it.... They are one of the most physical teams I saw last year, and have the best running attack in the SEC...if they keep that up, they've got a good chance....
Bama...same problem as UGA replacing a QB, only we don't know how good Shula is at QB development, this year will be his test.... Plus, some heavy loses otherwhere will hurt, lose 4-5 and he'll be doing OK, anything more will be a real bonus....
Ole Miss...not sure how their on the field performance will be, but 6 wins and a bowl game are likely within their reach, but Coach O needs to improve his game management to ensure that...if nothing else their overall talent should be a LOT better, giving them more depth than last year...still 1 year out from making the run though....
MSU...well they lose their best offensive weapon, but I saw a lot of signs of this team coming together last year...I think they are another Dark Horse Bowl team that could win 6 and get to the bonus round....
Cliff's notes version...
East...3 team race UF, UGA, USC, with UT maybe sneaking in....
West...3 Team Race...LSU, Auburn, Ark...with Bama lurking nearby and maybe sneaking in and Ole Miss and MSU just looking to make bowl games...
There are so many things that can happen between now an the season...these are just really educated guesses....don't hold me to 'em

I agree with Ark being second or third in the west. Gordon, they will be balanced, they will run hurry up at times and will nevr, never be predictable. I've watched this cat Malzahn since he was at Hughes Ar playing against my cousins at Marked Tree, and watching him at Shiloh and Springdale. He can flat out coach, he's meticulus, and very well organized. His football IQ is off the charts. He will know every teams weakness and he'll exploit it mercessily, our top two recruits already know his system inside and out and look out for Damien Williams to be in the running for freshman of the year. This team is dangerous, they will lose a game they ain't supposed to but will ruin someone elses season altogether.
Ark averaged over seven yards a carry last year, even with teams stacking 8 and 9 on the line, and they are very, very physical. Georgia players said in post game interviews that they were the toughest team they had played. There is extreme interest in the program in spite of Nutt and they expect a very large crowd for the spring game, over 15,000. but that that depends on the weather.
I'm excited to be a homer, things are really starting to look up.
I won't guess on what the east will be like, but theres two things tha are guarantees, OLE Miss and Miss St. will fight it out for last and next to last in the west. After that it really is a toss up.
Speaking of D Mac:

Deltamud77, you are way off about arkansas and auburn. first off arkansas will finish well back of the pack. second things cant just drastically change for one team going 3 and 8 to second in the sec west. arkansas or olemiss has NO DEPTH. and yes that is crucial in winning while playing sec ball. third, what in the hell are you putting arkansas in front of auburn.
Auburn has depth at every position, returing qb, sec leading rusher, rivals ranked borges as number one offensive cordinator, and auburn reloads not replaces. yes ol line has holes but once agian we auburn reloads not replaces. mshunter77 has good predictions. tennessee over georgia is just a toss up
deltamud77 quit sniffing glue you moron

Take it easy and if its easy take it home.
another thing, ANY TEAM IS ONLY AS GOOD AS THEIR QUARTERBACK!! and auburn has a proven quarterback, does ole miss, NO, MSU, NO, arkansas,NO, so basically yall will all still suck with only ole miss having a "decent" year for yall piss ants and going 5 and 6 to satify the idiots in oxfart, and thats sad that 5 and 6 is a standard to look up to
Take it easy and if its easy take it home.
I suppose you never saw Dick play those last four games as a true freshman, composed and cool as cucumber. Arks got what it takes just needed to give the playcalling reins over to someone else. We wasted several games trying to let R. Johnson to be the man and he cost three games easy. And i'll take D MAC over any rb Auburn has.
Oh, and D MAC was FIRST TEAM ALL SEC RB, His backup FELIX JONES ain't too shabby his own damn self.

Vandy and State will play in Atlanta for the ring. You heard it here first. Now get the f offa deez nutz.
It's a little early to be throwin' glue allegations, since spring ball hasn't even started and THERE AIN'T A SOUL ON THIS BOARD than knows schit about football.
But remember, Vandy doesn't "replace." They "reload."
