How many of you collect federal and/or state duck stamps? Also, how long have you been doing it. I have all of Mississippi's and Louisiana's and I have unsigned federal stamps since I started having to have them (that was in l963). Jack

Shoot them sprigs on their first pass!

I have all the Federal stamps since the beginning; I also have all the Ms state stamps from the beginning.
And I have the all the wild turkey federation stamps since the start.

Been a passion of mine for years and sunk a fortune into it. Some day my kids will have a jewel to remember me by.

Jack, I have no interest in collecting for the sake of collecting them, but I'm a sap for sentimental stuff. I have my signed stamps, federal and state, from 1964 to present. I have may Dad's, who I taught how to duck hunt, from 1968 to 1995, when he died. I have my son's from 1991, when he started hunting with me, to this years', when we didn't fire a shot at a duck, by the way. Having those three generations of duck hunters' stamps sure gives me a great feeling. Love to look at them and remember....getting misty-eyed just remembering some real fine days. Monetary worth of that collection...nada. Worth to me...you ain't seen that much money as a poor ole school teacher. When do ya'll finish up down thata way?

I'm with you crow. I haven't thrown away a license or stamp since my first year of college '88. I wish I had thought to keep them earlier than that. They are in no shape to display, most of them are pretty tattered from being carried around in a wallet.

Hey Jack...are you saying that you haven't been signing your stamps?

You had better sign your stamps! I hunt on a WMA and the man is there almost every day. I have always bought two stamps whenever possible. If I missed one I would order it from Sam Houston's. They are nice to look at and I just put them in a frame. I keep my signed one to.
Crow, I have this week and three more. We get out on May 31. I am as bad as the kids, I can hardly wait. Jack

Like some of the others, I have my old signed federal and state stamps for many years, not to mention licenses from many states and a couple of foreign countries, as well as old duck calls, dog collars, feathers, mounted birds, paintings of ducks, every waterfowling book I can find, five or six photo albums...my house looks like a shrine to waterfowling, but what's wrong with that?

I collect duck calls and have all of the Ms. stamps framed and matted. I also collect old decoys (approx. 45). I just found out this week that one of my calls is appraised at $5k+, now I have to hide it from the wife!
