"had no idea you were there po monk, i was one of the few, the proud in the student section"
I'd say "few" is right. But, you guys did not look too "proud".
Yelp, that was as few UM students at a mid-week SEC home game that I think I have ever witnessed. All kidding and sarcasm aside, the low turnout for this game was shocking.

I think a change could and should be very near absent a miracle finish. Saw Pete Boone at the game, sitting in the cheap seats near my seat. Not many fans sitting next to him or behind him, or around him. He looked kind of bored. Surely, he can see for himself the empty shell that is left of our basketball program. But, it will likely be Robert's call. Barnes was not hired by Boone, and was already the head coach when Boone returned for his second stint as AD. IF it was up to Boone, it is likely that Rod would have been fired a season or two ago. Sadly, RK may be hesitant to pull the trigger on Rod this year unless a really good candidate for the job, who is a sure thing(will come to Ole Miss), and the right fit (PC, right color, type person, etc.), steps to the forefront. I just do not see RK firing Rod at the end of this season without the right successor already locked up and ready to hire.
Regardless of what happens with Rod this season, it is clear that the majority of fans, even the season ticket holders, have given up on Barnes. They are still buying tickets, but just not attending the games. If he remains, Barnes will have a huge task ahead in winning back the fans. A fast, dramatic turnaround, with some exciting play on the court, will be necessary to accomplish such a thing. I now have serious doubts that Rod can deliver. IF Barnes remains, I see the strong possibility of fans in the stands with bags over their heads in protest next season.
