Finally warm enough up here in Ont to set the catfish lines last weekend. Ended up with 20 fish. Was wondering how close your hooks are and how long a line you usually run. My buddy and I have some 40 yrd lines and 10 years ago made one 150 yrds long. We fish a lake shore with sandy bottom so the 150yrd line works pretty good.
Thanks for any info... its always good to hear how other guys do it.

Shorter lines seem to work better for dad and myself. Depending on the length of the trotline, we usually space the hooks 3-5ft apart with a 15-18" hook line. The majority of our lines are 20-40ft in length.
