Do any of you know Mr. Grover Knoll from Clarendon, Arkansas? How about his duck calls? Do any of you have a call made by Mr. Knoll. They look real good, I just wonder how they sound. Jack

I bought an African Blackwood call several years ago...I like it.
It has worked it's magic on many a gadwall and even a few mallards around Marks

Met him and his wife a few years ago at Duck Gumbo. Real nice guy. My buddy bought one from him and loves it, I believe it Cocabola.

well I have never heard of him but there is an old timer back in Louisville named Grunt Mitchell and he makes some of the duckiest calls I have heard. Ole greenheadgrimreaper bought one and he was bringing down even the most call shy ducks on the last day. here are some pics.

Jack - Grover turns a great "duckall" but they aren't as forgiving as some others out there. They sure are nice.

I've got several from back when I prefered louder calls. Best bet - visit him at his shop or a show and blow several.

They must be good calls. I agree they are LOUD. A few years back a 65 year old kneebooter from Nashville asked me to take him duck hunting. He had a new "Duckall" and he was proud of it. He blew it until I thought my ears would bleed. My brother and I were in the bottom of the blind holding our ears when all of sudden he jumped up and lo-and-behold a greenhead had lit in the decoys.

I swear he had been high balling every breath non-stop for 5 minutes...and the drake lit with him screaming a high ball.
Truth.
(I don't remember if he killed the duck or not, I know I was too dumbfounded to shoot)

I have one and I re tuned it to be a quieter call. They are not as easy to blow as some calls out there, great calls though.
