if that damn woman driver would leave everyone alone he might have a chance. I feel like they ought to make a person, once getting 2 laps down, have to quit the race. A person can come back from 1 lap down relatively easy via cautions or just whatever, but if you are 2 or more laps down for the most part your day is over. (NOT COUNTING BRISTOL)

I agree Dutch Dog...ought to have a post race run for those with many laps down. Red flag 'em if you get that far behind. That would give them time to tape on more sheet metal, adjust, what ever.

That'll never happen though...

If you have never camped out at Talledega, you need to experience it once in your lifetime. Especially Saturday night, before the race on Sunday. There are about 75,000 people that sleep there on the grounds.

Trucks drive around the parking lots with 10-15 drunks in the back... in lawn chairs. LOTS of intimate relations going on in the shadows, and sometimes out in the open [img]images/smiles/icon_eek.gif[/img] campfires everywhere, and smoke so thick it looks like low-level clouds. One of those things, like Mardi Gras that can't be put into words.... you just have to experience it. [img]images/smiles/icon_cool.gif[/img]

that infield is one more wild place..... takes me a full week to get over it...haha... them engines sure make alot of racket after an all niter...leave the kids at home, or bring them to the grand-stands on race day... it is a rush....
