4 wheeler trailer ?

Postby mallardchaser » Wed Dec 21, 2005 1:01 pm

I'm in the market for a new 5x10 4 wheeler trailer. I'd like a heavy duty one, maybe round tubing...Anyone know of a good place to buy one?

lowes

Postby jdbuckshot » Wed Dec 21, 2005 7:04 pm

from all i have seen lowes trailers are crap, get you a custom built one, it will be worth it. make sure you get something that has the tail light wires ran through the fram or some tubing, because if any wire is exposed you will rip it out! trust me i know trailers our company only has, 14

You must not be looking at the same Lowes. Mine from Lowes was a better deal than any of the customs that I could find around here.

lowes trailers

Postby jdbuckshot » Wed Dec 21, 2005 8:50 pm

yea they have some great prices on their trailers, but they are just not built to my standards, i got a 16 footer that is a lowes and its junk compared to our others. but i am in the stuctural steel buisness and the like!

for the guy who is going to haul a bike and maybe a little more a lowes trialer is fine i guess.

Try Wilson Farms in Canton, MS, they have some sharp looking trailers with heavy $3500 axles in them.

There is a tractor dealer south of Jackson on 49 next to a big produce stand and he has the good round tube trailers, on the right going south.

Try Trailer Sales, Inc. in Pearl. I bought a 5x10 2 years ago for about $650. It had the 2" round tubing for rails and was built by Baker Trailers in Collilns.

Big Tex trailers. I saw one on the interstate this weekend for the first time. Looked good with the round iron instead of angle, much stronger! I don't know who sells them around your area but the website will tell ya.

I'll vouch for Lowes trailers. I got one for my 4 wheeler and it's perfect and I haven't had a lick of trouble. If hauling a 4 wheeler is all you are going to do, you'd be fine.
