Postby cmooredeer » Mon Dec 19, 2005 10:14 pm

My first Texas Deer. Killed outside of Castroville TX at low fence private lease at 2:00 PM while rest of group was at the cabin. He got wind of my Tinks 69 Scent Bomb and was running in full sneak when I shot him. 21" Inside 9 point 170 lbs.

I also was confused until I went out there.

Low fence means it is just normal fence that keeps cattle in - 4 or 5 strand wire - fair chase. Deer go under and over.

High fence keeps deer on the property.
High fence hunts are the expensive ones that uses "Scientific Breeding." They purchase trophy bucks to breed there does.
