duck numbers at our club north of indianola have steadily declined since opening day. Would have thought this past weekend would have been good with cold weather up north and some high pressure days. Rode all through southern delta today and saw very few ducks compared to a couple of weeks ago. Is anyone else noticing the same thing?

Yes, numbers are down around Brazil since the freeze up a week ago. Even the Sky Carp are gone.

This weekend was a slower than it has been. Need a new stock of them for sure. Some of the ones we had acted like they had become wiser to what was going on. Did not get much of that NE wind that the weather channel was talkin about.

I was looking at the weather channel earlier to day and it was showing a lot of snow and ice up north and the freeze line was all the way down to about the middle of Missouri so maybe this will help out

Killed two hard limits last weekend including a limit of mallard Sunday. Seems like it's the same old saying right place at the right time. Birds are using certain geographical areas..The delta isn't one of them. Thanks to Katrina I suppose.

Noticed the same thing around SE Arkansas.... Did some scouting Sunday...and found a bunch of ducks...but, they are in places that aren't hunted...lots of unleased holes and the ones that flood naturally are holding ducks, so needless to say some have moved out, others found safehavens and aren't moving much.... We've had and OK start to the season, but not like it was 5-6 years ago.....

We were covered up in Ducks south of Yazoo City last weekend. Course the spot we hunted on was a Deer Lease, that they let us guest hunt on for Ducks so there had been no pressure on them, but there will be now...

We hunted a hole a couple of weeks ago of some private land and limited out by 9:00. The guy I was with said it was a little slow that day. I don't know what them delta boys call slow but it was pretty fast paced for us east central boys. He said they hunted it one more time and the ducks have moved out for the most part. Maybe with a little bit less huntin some new ones will come in.

I hunted Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday with the exception of lunch in Jennie, AR, just southwest of Lake Village. Saturday ducks were landing in the middle of the property. Moved there Sunday afternoon cause I had to throw together a blind. Not too many flying around though. Had two different groups of mallards come in Sunday afternoon but that was it. Too many friggin' geese though.
