public hunting

I had someone tell me that South Dakota had a lot of public duck hunting. Does anyone know anything about the truth of that?

Yes, there is a lot of public hunting areas. I hunted there 3 years and never saw another hunter. The problem is that you have to apply in advance in a draw for a licence which is difficult to get. I quit going to SD because of this problem.
