I just wanted to post this for all you guys in MS and anyone else who doesn't believe that the people of MS are some of the best in the world. A good friend of mine was killed in an automobile accident outside of Jackson on Friday. He was 74 years old. His son and I are also good friends and he told me this story.
After he was notified of his father's death and of his mother's condition, he drove to the University Hospital from here in SC. He arrived there at 4 a.m. and was greeted by hospital staff, police officers, and social workers who had all done whatever they could to assist him in this terrible time. They had gone so far as to make reservations for him at a local motel. He couldn't say enough about how he and his family were treated. His mother and the two others who were traveling with her are still in the hospital with terrible injuries. The two people who were in the other car were also killed. His mother will be there for at least two more weeks. I ask you to pray, not only for those who survived, but for those who passed. Just as an aside, my friend's father was a retired game warden who served our state for 43 years. I never met a better man.
At any rate, I just wanted you to know more about the kind of people there are in MS. Thanks.
