food in tupelo

Postby QUACKERS » Mon Oct 31, 2005 2:11 pm

My sons soccer team is playing in a tourney in Tupelo this weekend and I was curious what some good eateries were?

CC's Pizza! :D It's cheap.
There is good a Italian Resturant, not sure of the name. Maybe Vanelli's? :?
I'm not sure if it is still there, but the is a good BBQ grill place called The Rib Cage that I had a good beer and BBQ ribs at a few years back.
You can tell I love to eat, I ain't even from Tupelo.

depends on what you're in the mood for. Unfortunately there are not a lot of places near the soccer fields. Las Margaritas is a good Mexican place. Margaritas are Muy Bien.

Fire Station Number 1 is good and is close to the soccer fields, Danvers, Las Margaritas, Peppers, Vanellis, Rib Cage.

Quack, you have to do the seafood place there. It is in an old grocery store, and it is killer. All you can eat buffet.

Go out like you are going to the mall. at the exit, where you take a left to go under the hwy to get to the mall, take a right instead. It is about two to three mile on the left - at a 4 way stop.

Go really really hungry.
We drive over from Olive Branch sometimes - and it is worth the trip.

This is the worst freakin town in MS for food. If you want real good there is only one place and that is Park Heights. Every other place SUCKS! If you want a chain restaraunt GET THERE EARLY. Every body within 100 miles goes to the chains on the weekends.

Best food in Tupelo this weekend? My wife's grandmother at 12:30 Sunday afternoon. She's been cooking Sunday dinner for the family since before WW II. If I miss dinner at Miss Inmon's on Sunday afternoon I better be dead or out of the country. Those are the only two excuses she will accept. 8) 8) Don't plan on getting a cholesterol screening on Monday morning either.
