I know for sure 100%...what is the best duck call in the world..always..

no matter what the conditions..

no matter what the temp...

no matter wind, ice....or snow...

no matter what the decoy spresd...

the No. 1 duck call is.....

The one you have in your hand when u find
that perfect spot that 1000 ducks want to be in....and you cant scare them off with a stick or gun.....

the point of my post was to try to impresss that it is not the call....

it is not the caller.......(if he is good)

it IS....trying to figure out when to call and when not to....

First...if you dont call now but you love the hunt, the cold, the sight of wings droping into the hole....the dog with ice on his hair, .......then...beleve me being a good caller will more than double your enjoyment...and you limits...

You need to start now learning to..today..
put a call in your vehicle..
now only you can hear it...

most good hunters will tell you ...
1..let me bring my dog first...(if he is good)..
2..let me bring my calls second...
3...do i have to bring my gun.....

The hunt is the pleasure...the kill is only braggin rights...

Started hunting with ralph, robert, and myself for years only ralph called..began with a sur-shot...have gotten many calls over the last 30 years..( a standard gift)
but it is not the call...
it is you...

go ahead and start...take time ...it is more that worth it.....
will post again some tips on learning...
