I want to get one of those snazzy truck dog boxes for my 9 month old. I think that there was a thread about them, but my computer is on the fritz. Can someone give me names and dealerships/websites?
Thanks!

If you are looking for a single box, there was a good deal on one in the clasified a while back.

GC, I'm going to try to post a link. If this does not work do a search of "Dog and box".

People always say to me..."Wow I didn't know they came with air conditioning"...
hehe....But they also come with a piece of mind that is priceless...Security, comfort in the heat and cold, AND the dog game groupie chicks go nuts for them....

Gator,
That Deerskin looks great! What did it set you back? I am interested in getting me something other than the plastic pet porters and thought about a two hole cross over box. I saw one made by Ainley, but would rather have a Deerskin. Does yours have a water tank on it and if not is their a reason you chose not to get one? I'm just trying to figure out what I want before I start making calls.

BD, to answer your questions, the model i have is a stainless, and you can pretty much sum it up to 1000/hole w/ anything made w/ stainless steel....dunno why, but right now, stainless prices are as high as they've ever been...
i don't have a water tank on mine.....i can't remember if the pic i posted showed it or not, but i had mine built up on a 6" frame....i can store 4 zinger wingers below my box stacked side to side and on top of each other....this was important b/c i have a super crew and lose alot of room, so this added feature has been a good thing.....
the other thing you'll notice on mine that you don't see on others is the top "rack"....the boys at deerskin called me and asked about adding this feature to see if it would make loading and unloading any easier; plus it was gonna make a killer luggage rack if ever needed.....i agreed and they did it at no charge......
b/t the "lift" that was put in and the "rack" (which i THINK is standard now), i've had folks from all over ask about it....
why no water tank??? b/c i have one dog, constantly train w/ a six pack cooler filled w/ water, and just never had problems before.....i figured the tank would be one more thing that i'd eventually fugg up or the room lost just wasn't acceptable...........much like the airing lights you DON'T see on my truck......just one more thing to knock off....
i paid 2100 even for it, and i bought it from a bud down in columbia, ms that's 1 of 2 distributors for them......he goes out every month or so and picks up orders and brings them back -- free of charge.........saves a chitload on shipping and was THE selling point.....
i spent 6 months looking for the box i wanted to ride around w/........i saw another "model" that some company thru together damn near take an eye off a dog due to poor construction, then do very little to make amends for their mistakes............simply put, you boys can buy them tonka toy looking deals and save an extra few hunnnert up front, i'll pay for a deerskin, have the peace of mind that comes w/ THE best made product on the market, THEN 5-6 years from now, i'll sell my 2100 dollar box for 2 grand and call it a day
