Boys, there are some sick people in this world!

Postby crow » Fri Feb 22, 2002 11:51 am

Yesterday, here in my school district, a man walked into the elementary school in the community where I live and work and hit an eight-year-old little girl in the head with a hammer. He tried to hit her again, but the hammer was lodged in her head. He was caught about three hours later by a neighborhood man who saw him running through his backyard and saw that he matched the description that had been televised. That good citizen ran him down and tackled him. The little girl was life-flighted to a hospital where part of her brain was removed last night, and today she is critical but stable. The man is said to be schizhophrenic and had not been taking his medication. Pray for the girl and her family. And say a prayer for all of us in the school business; it's a hard day. As I said, there are some sick people out there!

Crow that is terrible. I'll be praying for the girl. I know a guy who it schitzo. Thinks he is Jesus some of the time. He's an adult and you can't force him to take his medication if he is no committed which he has been several times. It's one of those ACLU things. He comes back to normal when he's been on his meds. Seems like there should be a law that if you are committed, released and come off of medication w/o a doctors okay you should be recommitted. I guess it would be impossible to monitor unless the govt. was monitoring it some way. Terrible thing, bothers me alot thinking about it

Crow I can't believe nobody shot this SOB. I used to work in the E.R. at University here in Jackson and we used to get Psy. patients in all the time and I have no remorse for them I think all of them do things for attention at least most from what I've seen. These people don't care about anything or anyone, they will snap in a heartbeat. They tend to come back to reality when we used to beat the crap out of them and knock some sense in them. If we would get people in that had done something like what happen in your state, We would make their life a living hell. After the first 5 minutes in the E.R. they would be praying to go to jail or the pysh. ward. They need to hang that SOB and weed him out of the gene pool. I agree. And while your at it hang the SORRY SOB who was in charge of making sure that SOB was taking his medication. Good Lord!

No, a better idea: Let the little girl's daddy have at 'em with a ball-peen. I'd pay to see that.

(now I guess I'm the sick one, but stuff like that makes me sick - sorry.)

Crow, that's terrible. I'll keep the little girl in my prayers.
On another note: manic depressive, schizophrenia, etc. etc.....I've got one answer...demons. This scientific world has to come up with a disease or disorder for everything...but it all boils down to what goes on that the human eye can't see. Not every case is demon related..but you can bet that most of them are. Yep, I too, would like to take one of these people out in the swamp, skin them alive and let the fire ants finish 'em off....but some things are just more than we can comprehend. If any of you get the chance to read "Piercing the Darkness" or "This Present Darkness" by Frank Peretti, or "Lord Foulgrin's Letters" by Randy Alcorn, you ought to. Of course, these are fiction, but good insight on what goes on behind the visual world.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, aginst the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Unbelievable! My family also had contact with one if these nuts this week to! Wednesday morning while on my way to work my wife called me histerical saying that our two boys were almost kidnapped! As I mentioned on here before I am a police officer in Memphrica in a special unit, so I have a take home car. Needless to say it was bluelights and sirens all the way back to my own house while my wife explained what just happened. Shortly after I left for work my wife loaded the boys into the truck to take them to school, realizing the keys were still inside on the counter she left the boys in their car seats and quickly went inside to retreive her keys. Only gone for maybe 45 seconds she returned to find a strange middle aged woman leaning in the door of her Expedition talking to the boys! Not recognizing who it was my wife asked "who the hell are you? and get away from my children!" The woman started mumbling something about her husband being at Burger King and she needed a ride. Hearing this my wife pushed the woman to the ground and got between her and our children. My wife then stated that her husband was a policeman and she would call me to come help her. Hearing this the woman started flailing her arms and screaming while running away! In the meantime I have called the Bartlett police to see if they got a car closer than me as we live in Bartlett and I was about 10 mins. away. When I got there Bartlett police had the woman in the back of their car, and everything was under control. Come to find out the nut only lives 7 doors down from me! Same story as above she is married to a college proff. who is gone during the day time and she had gotten off her medication and started wandering. You can beleive I told the Bartlett PD that if this ever happens while I'm home or I get back home before they get there she wont be going back home! Rather a trip to county morgue will be in order, espacially after reading this story about that poor little girl. I congratulated my wife on one hell of a job defending our youngin's and she was taken to the hospital to get "straightened back out" guess it doesnt matter how modern we get a mother will still hurt you over the little ones! I know this is a real long story, but those of you that never dealt with a nut should know!

An update on Elizabeth, the girl attacked at school...

She is alert, is speaking to her parents and a few family members, and is hungry! There is some paralysis in her left leg (the doctors think that may go away when the swelling goes down), and there is some vision problem that the doctors are not sure about. One blessing is that she doesn't remember anything from the day of the attack. Paramedics had to do cpr all the way to the hospital as she went into cardiac arrest several times in route by helicopter. She is a tough little girl who was saved by some great emergency response folks and by the kindness of a loving God.

The attacker has a history of attacks with a hammer, the latest two within the past year. He attacked a neighbors house and did $2500 in damages with a hammer, and he was stalking a neighbor (a young woman whose family moved out of the neighborhood because of him).

Thanks for all your continued prayers and kind thoughts. Elizbeth, her family, and the school's principal all go to my church, so they have a lot of prayer support...but, there is no such thing as too much prayer!

And, Wingman, you are right...their "name is Legion."

No Jethro we did'nt just beat on every crazy patient that we got there in the E.R. But if one wanted to fight or went to attack one of the female nurses then you forget about taking care of the idiot and think about protecting yourself and if that meant breaking arms, legs, nose, anything that will get him or her off, I would. And when the lawyers and police officers would ask us what happen we would tell them we were protecting ourselves and we have it on tape take a look at it yourself. They then would tend to change their mind. I would always ask people who would think that we would take things to the extreme, what they would do if some crazy person did the same thing to them. Just because someone forgot to take their meds or they are certifiable crazy does'nt give them the right to beat people, they can't use that as an excuse. And as for me I would'nt give them a chance. There are ways to make someones life a living hell in the E.R. and it be perfectly legal.
