well I've got a buddy that is an FFL dealer and he hasa bushmster in stock -- I was leaning towards the rock river because the DEA uses it so it must be a good gun -- the only problem is that there are sometimes a wait of up to 6-7 months to get one -- The colt is for LE only -- that won't be a big deal I'll just get a letter from my dept to get it but then it would belong to the dept since it was issued through them -- - our dept carries bushmaster and it has the 11.5" stubbie barrel and 3 round burst-- I want one of those -- but again -- the dept has to get involved because I as an individual can't own the a weapon of this caliber without a class 3 weapons license -- this is why my hands are up in the air -- I don't know what the heck to do

where in AR are you? I work in a gun store, and we have all in stock, even the Colt LE stamped. Don't need a Dept letter for get a semi automatic, like you would for a Class 3, even if it is marked LEO. All 3 are good guns, and you can't really tell a difference between each on the rack. the advantage to the Colt is that the LEOs are made by Colt defence, not Colt arms. So, these guns are built to go to Depts & agencies, not to John Public. The limited numbers of these rifles that made it into circulation, are drying up quickly. So, as a shooting investment, these can't be beat. Not a real issue in a semi configuration, but most are shipping with an M16 bolt & carrier. so if you want to go into "overdrive' they can handle it, because they were built to do it. You are correct that the DEA uses RRA, but Special forces uses Colt, and other agencies use the Bushy. They are all good guns, built well, very accurate, just comes down to what you want to pay.
Shoot me a PM, will help any way i can.

I just bought a nice bushmaster from a guy down here in Jackson.
Name is Wiley Burt 6016687406 and he is a hell of nice guy. The gun is just what i wanted. 4position stock; chrome lined 16 inch barrel, removable flash supressor; A3 (removable) carry handle; Picatinny rail; 30 rd clip. 900$ which I thought was fair. He said that he sold 20 the week before to some guys going down to workin Nawlins. He can't keep them in stock since everyone saw what happeded to a city full of blacks when teh power goes out.
Check out teh web site AR15.com . It is loaded with info. The colt, bushy, rra question gets asked about twice a day. As far as i can tell the bushy always wins the poles.

I own all three, Colt, Bushmaster, RRA,and I have some armalites. They are all nice guns.If I was buying one to make Full Auto I would have to go with a true colt. But thats just me.

I'm not usually a gun snob like some folks, but when it comes to AR rifles and 45 ACP pistols that I might have to bet my life on then it is Colt all the way for me. That's just how I feel about it, your mileage may vary.
