Hey Skippy J- You hunt Okatibbee?

I was just wondering if you have ever hunted out at the resivoir. I have fished it all my life but havent heard to much about the duck hunting.

Write back we may know some of the same people. I went to West Lauderdale for a while and my dad coaches at MHS.

I know her, we went to school together and she was in nursing school 1 year ahead of my wife. we acually dated back in high school

Yeah did back years ago but haven't the past few years. I'll pm you with some info about some things up there. What years did you go to WLHS? I saw you were from Dekalb and I was going to try to get up with you this past season but with the duck "situation" didn't figure it would do much good. Skippy, I graduated In 97. But I left WLHS in
95 and went to KA.

I am now at Ole Miss.

Is there any decent hunting in Lauderdale county or do all you boys leave town to hunt?

Yeah there can be decent hunting around here if you have the location, don't shoot the guts out of it, and a Alberta clipper blowing through. [img]images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img] Killed everything here from GWT to Blacks but just being in the right place and the right time. Nothing I did in particular. Used to have a place that was technically in the city limits (no lie) and one year if I took 2 people we could kill 18 in less than twenty mins. By the time the dog picked up a "wad" of birds the next group would try to work in on the ripples. Mostly greys, wigeon, and a few greenheads. Hunted it once a week and would leave it alone. Friend of mine from Ark. even drove down to hunt it. But lost that place and now travel a little bit to hunt. Not that it mattered this year though!! I got to where I would go to our lease 10 mins from the house and do the 2 woodie thing and go home instead of driving an hour and then boat riding and then pitching dekes and killing 2 woodies.
