I am just about finished with my boat blind...It is a john boat also. It shouldnt be much longer befor i finish with the plans for it...So far I havent found anything wrong with it. All i have spent is about $30 on it and probally want have to spend much more it looks like... Email me and i'll give you the details on it...

I used to have a 1436 MonArk years ago. I made an inexpensive take down blind for this boat using 1 inch and 1/2 inch conduit. I took 6 pieces of the 1 inch conduit about a foot long and anchored them to the front of each seat. This basically created 6 sockets in the boat. Two in the front corner, two in the middle, and two in the rear. You get the idea.

I then took the 6 pieces of 1/2 conduit and cut it to desired height of the blind. You simply slip these smaller pieces into the larger conduit. I drilled the end of the 1/2 inch conduit to accept a small steel rope. I basically ran my blind material like a shower curtain across the length of this cable. You simply stand up to shoot. Most of us prefer to do this anyway.

When transporting the boat, you simply lift the 1/2 conduit out of the 1 inch stabilizer and lay the poles inside of the boat. It was real easy and very inexpensive. The most expensive part was the camo material. Don't forget to spray paint the conduit a nice coat of brown.
