No Here -- If you are looking for lunch while at an event at the BC Spillway, try the shrimp po-boy from the grocery store in the town next to the Motiva Refinery. It is as good a shrimp po-boy as I know.

I imagine we'll get lunch in a sack during the trial.I'll check it out when i can break free. Thursday night may be the only night i can get away or Thur. during the lunch hour.

Is there anywhere around there to get some
crawfish to bring home????

Your sack lunch at the trial will most likely come from the grocery store I am referring to. Just be sure to order the shrimp po-boy, that is if you like such food. The burgers are pretty good as well.

Where do you train around Nesbit? I grew up in Memphis. My family raised labs and did some campaigning in the 70's & early 80's. We had a kennel in Grand Junction for a short period of time in the 90's. We still have some friends in Eudora & elsewhere that run trials. I work a couple of trials or tests a year but do not yet have a dog of my own due to a variety of reasons.

There are plenty of places to get crawfish to take back to Nesbit with you. The going rate the last time I checked was approximately $2.00 a pound and going down. This crawfish season is an excellent one. I am sure you will be able to find some in Reserve which is close to the Spillway, and if not there, I can tell you about a place on Williams BLVD that is also good.

There is a chance that I will be working at the trial you will be judging. If that is the case, I will write back.

Boiled crafish are running around $2.00/lb.
Live crawdads are less, maybe around 1.30 to 1.50/lb. and falling.

Their hot roast beef (one which I consumed about 30 min ago) is also the stuff of legends. However the shrimp is pretty damn good too!
