New Window Tint Law..

Postby Ducks be us » Fri Jul 29, 2005 9:40 am

Got pulled over by the man. He said that there is a new window tint law, in effect for the last month or so. Any glass cant have more than 35% tint. Sure enough....I couldnt get an inspection sticker till it was removed...What will they think of next? Mind you that this was a service van  Y'all have a nice day!

My brother goes to Auburn and has 5% on his truck. He said they don't enforce the window tint laws over there anymore. Supposedly, they only established the tint law because of the Olympic Soccer being in Birmingham in '96. 8)

No

Ducksbeus your lucky you didn't get a ticket. 1 offense has the potential to be a greater fine than 1 offense DUI. Up to $1000 and/or 60 days in jail.

Thank your democratic legislators of the house for coming up with this one.

A couple of DOT troopers around bolivar county have their windows so dark, you cant see in them. If its okay for them, it should be okay for us.

How many law enforcemnt officers are going to get stopped and pull a gun on the other officer. It is for officer saftey most people dont care about officer saftey huh. I know they dont in Mississippi.

Had a State Trooper tell me if you go to the eye doctor and tell them your eyes are sensitive to sun light and headlights, they will give you some kind of sticker to go on your front glass, he said if you have that you can paint your windows black and they can do nothing about it

No it is not legal for law enforcement to have it. Look at all the tint joints, there is nothing but cop cars. Even the K-9 cars have to remove it. If you want to learn more about it, listen to JT & dave on Supertalk.

I gotta agree with the tint laws and I'll tell ya why. When I was growing up we had a good family friend that was with the highway patrol. This was before they had tint laws and everyone had limo or mirror. He pulled a car over and was shot with a sawed off shotgun by the driver before he rolled down the window. Luckily he lived and they later caught the guy. Our friend spent about 2 months in the hospital and had to have a total face reconstruction amoung several other operations. It's just not safe for the boys in blue.

Rather than doing honest folks around, get on that speaker and tell the crackheads(or at least the driver) to get out of said car with their hands up. If they are holding a sawed off shotgun, well you know... 8)
