Sure is funny........the school that claims to be LSU's biggest rival isn't even listed in the Top 5.

don't flatter yourself...

But while we are on the subject of the Blue and Red, I was watching the news last night as they were showing that Ole Piss kick off party (or whatever it was..?) and happened to catch a glimpse of ol Jeff there  ! I don't know if he was scouting for Croomy, or swapping sides....two face

a friend of mine was there is said that it was very comical, Coach O slpit the room into offense and defense and had each side when he said one each had to crouch down and let out a big huh!!! and then he got everyone to clap and hoooo and gave his speech without any X-Rated language at all.

I agree that the rivalry with LSU has become a bit watered down in the past few years, with 03 being the obvious exception. But, it's about to pick back up and you'd have to be pretty blind to not see that coming.

Who is State's best rival? Maybe they can get something going with Maine. It'll turn into a blood feud--the Black Bears and Dawgs...oughta be good. Anyone caught wearing Bean Boots in Starkville will be subjected to torture....the possibilities are endless.

lol mottlet...that is pretty good and I love State. I think the Ole Miss fans probably think it is a big rivalry while the Tiger fans still look at UM as a win in most sports. The Dogs enjoyed many years of great rivalries with LSU in baseball. As far as footballl goes, the Bullies may be their own biggest rival.

Um in football at least is definetly a rival for LSU. In fact LSU's three most important football games ever have been against UM. One was the 1958 game with Billy Cannon's run, and then where we held UM 1st and goal from the one and forced a turnover on downs in the fading minutes of the fourth quarter. Of courese we went on to win the national championship that year, and the UM game was THE game of that season, more so than the orange bowl that year. Then the following year LSU again had national championship implications and UM beat LSU, no dramatic returns or anything, but a back to back ended with LSU's only loss that year to UM. Then of course two years ago when we finished on top again when UM had Eli at QB was a good game. Probably one UM gave away, but nonetheless, a great game. There is definetly no love lost there, but I would say I get more jacked up for the Auburn game as an LSU fan than the UM game just as it's normally our first big test of the year and I definetly dislike UA. On the flip side with us renewing our games with GA, that is becoming a great rivalry again. Hell the whole SEC is a great rivalry, I'm PO'd if we loose to any of the schools.

I don't think too many LSU fans consider Ole Miss as one of their biggest rivals.

There's a reason they didnt even make the list.

But if it makes Ole Piss fans feel better, they can start their own list.
