Mottled ducks are fairly common down here on the La.-Ms. coast. How far North do they travel? Have any of you killed a mottled in your area? Any of you ever seen any in the delta? Jack

Shoot them sprigs on their first pass!

I have seen a total of (1) one mottled duck in the delta, and it had been mistaken by a warden for a hen mallard. Go figure.
