I'm curious where most of the posters on this board hunt waterfowl?
1>public land
2>private land you lease
3>private land you own (own by yourself or with a club/syndicate)
4>as a guest on private land
5>pay-per-day hunting
NOTE: I DO NOT think anymore or less of anyone simply based on which of these categories they fall into.

I'll start.
90% private land I own with a club.
9% private land as a guest.
1% pay-per-day.
(I have not hunted ducks on public land since my college days, but I respect and admire my friends who still do).

I typically hunt on a private lease but I lost it this year so I had to hunt on public land. I actually enjoyed public hunting more until every body found out where I was hunting. Then I had to move on. So I guess for the 2001-2002 hunting season the answer would be 100% public.

This year 100% leased private land. That may change before the season is up though.

I hunt 100% on private land, as a guest/worker. I can hunt there anytime I want, but if the owner of the land (2,000 acres) wants to hunt I will call for him. He has been 1 time this year! Works out great for me, he provides the 4 wheelers, boats everything but the shells and license!
I also work for this guy, and can take off anytime during the week I feel like it. Too bad this season sucks so bad!
