i feel your pain
Dutch Dog I feel your pain!! It took an act of congress and a host of "other" phone numbers to finally get a call back!! It seems the hunt secretary bit off quite a bit more than he could chew trying to be "in charge" of this test!! I was told they were sorry and it would not happen again and it would be handled more appropriately for the fall test!!

Naw, it wont happen in the fall, cause they stole my hunt test secretary! Actually, they stole him back, I had stolen him first from them. Josh is doing it in the fall for old hatchie, and it'll be slick.
If josh gets steve vires paperwork done in time, he's gonna apprentice started, and Im going just to see that. bwhahahahaha. He always says hes gonna do something easy at a hunt test, like judge... we'll see what he says after a weekend in the chair. travis

where exactly is this? I've been wanting to attend an event to get a feel for it. I have 2 labs I am currently training and would like to see what the test are all about.

".... It seems the hunt secretary bit off quite a bit more than he could chew trying to be "in charge" of this test!! Will is a traveling fool for work, and is a night-time graduate student. needless to say, he's a bit busy'r than most, and being HTS really loaded down an already max'd out schedule..... but being handled more appropriately in the fall??? great, now folks gonna expect this stuff to be done right.....
Hatchie's test will be at Deer Run Ranch on the side of Hwy 72 in Caanan, MS. Go up Hwy 7 thru Holly Springs, take a right on 72, go past Springhill area, look to left side of 4-lane on top of hill is an wrought-iron entrance with ani-mules fashioned into the metal.

I am going to get to run only a very limited number of HT's this spring due to her coming in heat, Me going through school, etc etc. The least someone could have done was returned SEVERAL different people's phone calls...Common courtesy. Doubt I'll run up at Jeff/Linda's place in the fall. Call it sour grapes or what you will, its just poor business not to return phone calls. Sure does leave a bad taste in a bunch of folks mouths.

What where you calling about? If you wanted in, you should have sent in a month ago? Calling to ask if they are full, when they are, and not getting called back, aint really nothing but saving a dime. last hunt test of the area, and this spring its BEFORE the grand, and they always fill up months in advance.. heck ya knew it would happen.
Steve got his judges number. Im either gonna co judge with him, or go shoot for him and run Da Juice and Scream! hehe. Meybe get named in another formal complaint! travis

Missy went into heat, you missed some other tests.... is that Will's fault?
Dude, you never even told me you planned on not running SF with her, I found out second hand through somebody else, and your in that club with me..... let's all face it, the hunt secretary is everybody's friend 20% of the time, and get's kicked in the nutz the remainder of the time. I dont care if he never called me back at all..... why? cause I been there and done that for the last 4 years, and I know what its like. and just cause the test is over, don't mean you are through with the work. heck, its been a full month since SF and I JUST NOW mailed out ribbons..... mofo's calling me at 6am trying to catch me to ask about the one ribbon they couldn't wait another 5 minutes for, yet can't seem to live without. maybe its just me cause I know what its like, but the HTS is the most hated summommommabiatch on the grounds for 2 weeks before, during, and after a hunt test. if somebody is late, its my fault. if somebody went to the wrong flight, its my fault. if somebody didn't get in somebody else's flight, its my fault. if somebody didn't get to run as soon as they got to the stake, its my fault. if somebody didnt' include their dogs R#, its my fault, etc, etc, etc.....

What you wanna bet Seasoned and Finished are full before August, when the hunt is mid-September? Half the entries are gonna ask if Kevin James will have his grille fired up, the other half will want to know if Mrs. Barlow is making dessert again..... that's the only tastes anyone is gonna remember.

everyone should learn from example..... two folks already getting their stuff together for hatchie in the fall (i.e. not waiting on premiums to be sent out, phone calls to be made, etc).
that's a kewl thing about the HRC program....it's a lil more lax about the "formal premium" deal.....i used to sweat it too, til trav/josh/glenn et al gave me some advice....
print off a "generic" premium, put the club's name on it, fill it out and send it in....
i think alot of peeps even have a "premium" on their puter - created one myself....they insert club name and fly....not a bad idea....FWIW, gator

I called Travis as soon as I thought she was going into heat. He said wait, maybe its a false alarm. A few days later, (a few days before the test) she was in full blown heat, so I called him back. His words to you were "don't you think telling me is about the same thing as telling you" I remember them plain as day. anyway, Why in the hell would someone want a person as busy as....
....being a HTS????? Once again poor business.
