Once again the global warming wingnuts have come out and said soon 1 out of every 3 species on earth would be destroyed if the climate keeps climbing! Tell all them sumbitches up in the Northwest digging outa snow drifts the climates climbing. If I was them I'd be burning tires and spraying cans of hair spray in the air for the next 10 years flipping the middle finger to every global warming commie that could see me! Global warming my frozen turd ass! Last June my brother n law called me from Arizona and said, "This global warming is getting serious, it's 112 here today!" The stupid nimrod, it's Arizona in June! It's the fricken desert, it's supposed to be 112. Then in that same story they went on to say that the scientists that gave out that information said there still wasn't enough evidence, it's because of global warming however they need more studies. Which makes the whole news story a non issue! That's like me reporting I nailed Heidi Klum! But it was only a dream but maybe one day I could nail Heidi Klum but I'm not sure if I ever will and all my research indicates I have really no chance to nail Heidi Klum however for the time being let's tell everybody I did! In other words, there is no global warming. I'm glad I could clear this whole thing up! Like a feller said to me after reading the paper, "Hey! I heard ya nailed Heidi Klum!"

The CO2 concentration in the atmosphere pretty much points the finger right at us and our internal combustion engines, coal burning, and aeresols. That is pretty much the bottom line as far as global warming is concerned.

OK Let me ask this. Everyone talks this crap about Global Warming and the Ice Bergs melting and covering the earth with water. Well if that is true then how come when I put ICE in my FREAKING 7&Coke, IT DOSEN'T OVER FLOW, HUHHHH!

Benny you done watched too many movies. Working with environmentalist here at WES I hear these folks debating global warming all the time. What is interesting there is scientific research that shows the ice caps are cooler now than in the 1930's. I dont guess that would make a good hollywood movie though, so you want hear about those studies.

They need to clean that place up anyway. Just grind it on down!

I tend to think global warming is less a product of human waste/consumption and more a product of the earth's natural cycle. It warms up, it cools down, it warms up and it cools down again. Humans may play a small role in the perpetuation of the cycle, but the cycle is constant and will eventually prevail despite our waste and CFC production. Right now the earth is in a warming stage and soon enough (relative to the total time of the presence of the earth) it will begin to cool back down again.

I am no liberal, tree hugger or commie but I do believe in Global Warming, it makes since to me that when you release CO2 in the atmosphere it will cause a "greenhouse" effect..

I guess we will all find out sooner or later if its true or not. Fact is most of the countries in the world believe its true..only us and Austrailia are not part of the Kyoto Pact to curb global warming.

I too,... believe in global warming,..... but just over the period of "my", existance on this earth !
Over a period of 100 years, it appears we are getting warmer,.... but over a period of 500 years, we are simply on a "ridge" if it were put on a graph vs. a pit.

Technology is far more sophisticated now, than 200 years ago,... but the proof is there, that we are only a couple of degrees warmer now, than we were 50 years ago !

Unfortunately, more time is needed !,..... And in either case, it's nothing you or I need worry about,...... just enjoy life !

The idea that global warming would melt the ice caps and flood coastal cities seems to be mere science fiction. A slight increase in temperature -- whether natural or mankind induced -- is not likely to lead to a massive melting of the earth ice caps, as sometimes claimed in the media. Also, sea-level rises over the centuries relate more to warmer and thus expanding oceans, not to melting ice caps.
