success at last

went this morning with 3 friends and shot 16, retrieved 9. the only thing different was we stayed till noon. the ducks started coming backfrom the fields into the break around 8:30. called just enough to get their attention and let the decoys do their job. the ducks, mallards and gadwalls, would come in in groups of 2 to 10. next time i go i'm going to sleep in and get out and ready around 8 a.m. and stay till noon. try it, it's not like we have anything to lose.

If you're only going to retrieve 9/16 birds please don't report it here - it makes me kinda sick (others too I'm sure).

I'm not trying to be offensive,just honest. The previous poster gave you some valid advice, please take it.

If you can't retrieve a bird why shoot it???

SURE YOU WASN'T ROOST SHOOTIN IN SOME ELBOW BUSHES AND COULDN'T FIND ALL THE BIRDS?SOUNDS KIND OF FISHY TO ME.AIN'T NO EXCUSE TO HAVE THAT RATIO ,THAT'S PATHETIC.
