My second BB gun was a Red Ryder. I can not remember what kind my first one was. It broke in half, like a single shot shot gun, to suck in air. It was a single shot and you had to drop the BB down the barrel to load it. I had many a good time with my BB guns and I still do. I am glad that you had a good day with the gun. Take care and don't shoot your eye out. Jack

Shoot them sprigs on their first pass!

Did you start thinkin' up some lame excuse about how the window got shot out as soon as it happened? Hehe, I remember whenever I would tear up a tractor or wreck something, I'd immediately start coming up with the story that I thought would go over the best with my grandfather.

Hey judge jb just wanted too say, that I had a Crossman pellet gun too start with. We lived in Ga. when I was just a pup and wasnt allowed too carry it home with me as we lived in town, but I spent the summers with my grandparents here in MS in the country. I shot just about all the birds around their house (except the bluebirds and mocking birds) that was a fine punishible by a good butt whipping I shot snakes and turtles on the lake behind their house, even killed my first rabbit and squirrel with it. All kinds of critters fell to the crossman. That was a longggggg time ago as I am now 39 but those were the sweet days of youth. I liked the scene in A Christmas Story where the kid picks up the tube of BB's and shakes them. I told my wife everytime we watch it that there wasnt anything in the world sounded like the rattle of a full tube of BB's I have watched it probly 30 times as my wife bought it for me. It reminds me of childhood friends I dont see or hear from anymore and the sweet innocent days of youth filled with no concerns but how to hide the bluebird I accidentally shot and hoping no one saw hehehehe!!!! .........."no mamaw I dont know. It must have died of a heart attack" she's 84 now and still reminds me of that one. Judge - I bought my 5 year old a brand spankin' new Red Ryder at Thurmond's Hardware on the way back through Lexington before Christmas. That bb gun buys me almost two hours of hunting time in the blind when I bring the boy. It sure is fun shooting shotgun shell hulls and decoys with it but....haven't you noticed, you have to be a kid to hit anything with it! The damn bb looks like a catfish hunter spit ball coming out of the barrel. I'll have to try the pecan trick!
