Just curious if anyone has bought a decent decoy bag since French & Sons went out of buisness??? Fixin to buy some new dekes and runnin out of bags. All the new ones I have seen won't hold up to the abuse we put them thru. Any reccomendations would be appreciated. <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">quote

Damn, French and sons folded up thier tent? I have a bag I bought of thiers about 10 years ago and its still in use.

A friend of mine had a Avery bag he bought this year that has heavy duty straps, looked pretty decent.

Those Avery heavy duty bags are nice. One of my hunting partners has one and it is more comfortable than my French & Sons and it seems as durable.

If I have made one purchase for duck hunting that has made my life easier it is my 2 Avery square-bottom decoy bags. Lord they are better than those cheap Cabela's ones. The French and sons are great too..but I think if you need to replace go with the Avery hands down.

Yeah, I regret I can't find some more French & Sons bags, too......'got 6 of'em. Since then, I've bought Avery square-bottoms (the one with the close-knit mesh....not the loose fabric w/ the big holes that hang on everything). They've worked pretty well (so far) and are more pliable than the Fr&Sons.....'makes'em easier to draw-up and fold for storage in the boat.
If I'm not mistaken, G&H is marketing a bag that looks alot like the Fr&Sons bag.....'could be that they bought'em out. Check their website.

Whatever you do don't buy one of them Greenhead Gear deke bags. Bought a new one for the season opened and I already done broke it. The round eyehole and the stitching at the top is come loose where you sinch it down. My pintail dekes have reamed holes in it everywhere. I don't think it'll last through the season.

$20.00 down the drain. Guess you get what you pay for nowadays.
