Goose Hunters, I need ya help.

I've got an opportunity to hunt about 10K snows this weekend, but I don't have any dekes. What is the quickest way that I can make some dekes before this weekend, rags, etc? I've heard of using white clorox bottles, but this is a pretty big field that I've gotta cover. I need some advice cuz I'm gonna bring out the creative part of myself tonight.

I have seen sheets of newspaper, and paper plates both used.

I guess some cheap white garbage bags would do then? But I've got to come up with some stakes now.

I have used rags with old boll wevil eradication trap poles broken in half. These worked very well. Good luck, if this is your first time goose hunting, it is a lot of work. Where are you hunting these geese?

You can cut up coat hangers for stakes. They don't have to be long.

White garbage bags are different from the goose rags that you buy. They shine or the color is just different. You had better put out between 800-1200 rags. When you first see the geese the more people that are calling the better. When they get in close, the best caller had better do the work. Make sure that you cover your face (if you want to watch the geese, put your arm over your face). Put some of the rags all around you, very close. Have a good hunt and a great time. Please kill a big eagle head for me. Jack

Shoot them sprigs on their first pass!

Find you a ditch, put out all the trash you can about 30 yards off of the ditch. Do not put any thing closer to the ditch. Parallel the ditch then put the trash in a egg shape. Put out yo robo ducks in the middle of yo trash. Then you move about 40 yards to one side or the other and then you might kill some specks, maybe one or two inmature snows. The specks tend to fly lower, but they will not fly over yo trash. They will fly around the spread.

Other option would be to get about a dozen snow goose shells and a jam box.

You should have asked sooner. I threw out 200 new snowgoose rags with stakes that I used once last year. I got sick of them being in the back of my blazer.

use "RUFFUES" garbage bags and a 8" nail from homedepot works great unless there is a lot of wind then you will loose some of the bags because of tearing.

Forget the decoys and crawl them. More than likely you will do all this to try and kill them and it won't work. Save your suffering and crawl them. IF you don't just remember I told ya so. IF you do crawl them remember to put something over your barrel to keep the crap out of your barrel. A trojan always worked quite well for me.

take plywood and make a cow/ paint this plywood a cow colors put handles on it then find out where the geese have landed get behind cow and move very slow toward the geese when you get close drop cow and shoot
repeat process be sure and park away from the geese with your vehicle
