I got a fully loaded 2000 model 1754 with a oil injected Merc 90 on it. I will take $10,500 for it. It's in very good condition, been used a little this year due to all the water, but it is still in great shape. If you do consider a new one, call Cache River Marine in Newport AR. The owner is Phillip Birdsong...I have bought 2 boats from him and both were quite a bit less than any of the local dealers around here were asking.

I saw your ad in the classifieds also...I wouldn't reccomend getting a 542 or a 648 due to their being too small. By the time you get a couple of buddies, a couple of bags of blocks, and all the other junk us duck hunters tend to take with us you will be tripping over each other and everything in the boat. Plus those smaller boats aren't as stable as the 754 and larger versions so the occasional slip and trip aren't as likely to end up with someone outside the boat. Avery makes blinds that fit those boats just fine so don't worry about having to hide that big of a boat. Heck I saw a man the other day who had what must have been a 20' Express and it had an Avery blind on it.

I don't often see adds for used war eagles or Xpress boats. They tend to get sold "buddy to buddy." Good luck with your search.

Check out the Tradewinds, between the middle of Febuary and the end of April. Plenty of good deals on hunting stuff.

bullsprig I have seen more war eagles and express duck boats this year than I have ever seen before. Every time I get on the road I see at least 3 or 4. With that many boats around now and the season we had this year you will probablly be able to find one for a good price after the season.

Xpress makes good boats. I have been very pleased with mine. However, if I had it to do over, I would get the 16 foot Xpress with a 30 horse, jack plate and tunnel.

I stopped by Miss. Marine in B-haven today. They also have a stroe in V-burg. He has several War Eagles from another dealer. They are not used boats but may have been on a lot for a little while. I have never priced War Eagles before, but I think they are a good deal. Like a 1754, side steering, about an 80 merc, most all options, I think was in the 11's. Also had 16' and smaller boats.
I kinda favored his Express boats though. They seem wider and with higher sides. He quoted me a 17' with a Yamaha 80 4 stroke, galv. trailer, etc for 12 something. The tunnel would be about $300.00 more.
