seasons over,

Postby Doc & Nash » Mon Jan 07, 2002 8:09 am

well guys, I made it back I had, I hunted every day with exception to Christmas and the 29th of December, because of a wedding in Greenville.

The first week was pathetic, I hunted the Mudhole one day and vowed not to go back for the rest of the year. And I didn't either. It took me about a week to find another hole to hunt. After locating this rare treasure, I was surprised that I had it all to myself for about a week, On one occasion was there one group hunting on the same side of the lake as me and I think they got discouraged because the birds were not flying that morning, They left around 10:00 and by noon I had picked up three greenheads, I finished that bag out with a Widgon and 2 Woodies.

Over the course of the two weeks I had many hunts that were every exciting, everything from four people limiting out by 2:00 to a friend of mine killing two banded woodies in one week. I was very excited for him, I wished it would have been me but maybe I will get my first band next year, after all, I have only been chasing the ducks for 11 seasons.

My most memorable hunt was one with my Dad. It was the first time that he had ever duckhunted, all ways said it was to cold. We did not limit out but we did get 6 birds, 4 woodies and 2 greenheads. Needless to say Dad out shot me that day, But that is OK, I am sure I needed a little bit of "schooling" any way. When I left Southaven last night headed back to Nashville he asked me "do you think I could hunt with you a little more next year" needless to say the answer was yes. So with that I think he enjoyed it even with his feet getting cold. I think I am going to buy him a pair of electric socks for his birthday hahaha.

Well that about coveres it, Just keep shooting straight, and keep posting, I look foward to reading about your adventures and thoughts.

sincerely
t
