Layout blinds

lookin for some ideas to built a layout style blind in the off season any one ever done this and do you have any plans or pics

Can't beat an avery finisher for $135. I would be willing to bet that you'd come out ahead buying a finisher than trying to build one on your own.

Works fine for me. They are located in Liberty, Mo. They sell a bunch of blinds on ebay also, marked up $20 higher than on the site though.

I have hunted out of a Kelly Power Blind but not a Finisher. Which is preferred and why?

The finisher because it provides a lot more room for yourself and gear, and it is setup on hinges and frames, as the power hunter isn't. That PH is a chiropractors dream, as GC has said before. The power hunter feels like a sleeping bag to me and I really don't care too much for the mesh fliptop that covers your head, can't see jack out of it.

I do tend to agree to the "Chiropractor" statement. Spent 4 hours or more for 3 straight days in Texas this past December. Loved hunting out of it but the non-adjustable backrest became a pain in the neck (pun intended). How about the profile of the Finisher? Is it lower in profle than the Power Hunter?

The finisher is a little higher to me, but if you were deadset on having it be low profile you could dig out a hole in the field the same size as the finisher at least 6" deep and that'll do it.

I noticed the Finisher Blind at Rogers is only available in khaki? Whatchathink?

The khaki is all you need.
That's my khaki finisher. Why spend the extra $$$ for mossy oak camo when the first thing you are gonna do is cover the entire blind in mud, which in turn turns it brown, same color as the khaki.
Avery knew to come out with the khaki blinds to increase sales because they were charging way too much for the camo one's.

Can you tell what color camo is the fabric for this finisher?
If you stubble them up good, it does not matter one iota.
