Big difference in tread depth and ride. Could go middle of the road with the Maxxis Mud Bug(1.2" tread). I have them and they work well without the excess mud thrown on you via the Vampire(2" tread). If I didn't care and wanted the baddest, go with the Vampire. May need a low range if you are hurting on power. I believe the Mud Lite is 7/8" tread and should be a great ride.

I have them on my Polaris 500. They are amazing in the mud. Pulled a heavy skid blind through some serious mud this year.... no problem at all. And they dont beat you to death on a road. I can't imagine anything that would be better.

The Mud Lites are a great all around tire. They ride smoother than the 589's. I have 27" Vampires and they ride okay now that I have broke 'em in. All 3 of these tires are good tires and you can't go wrong with any of them. The Mud Lites are the least expensive and lightest of all 3.
the Maxxis Mud Bug(1.2" tread). I have them and they work well without the excess mud thrown on you via the Vampire(2" tread).
The Mud Bugs will beat you to death on hard surfaces and you will get muddy with any tire if they stick out past your fenders.

This is true. If you have a 450cc or better you should be okay with just about any size without any other mods. Anything less than that I would only go one size larger than stock at best. In my opinion a 26" tire is the best all around size. You really are not losing much ground clearance (1/2") to make a big difference and the lug size are almost the same on most tires.
When I buy another set of tires it will be the Mud Lites.

I've got the outlaws on my Rancher and they are far superior to the 589's in the serious mud..They ride rough 'til you reach 7mph...
