COMORONT KILLERS!!!
When I went to work the other day, my father(head of security) shows up at 6 in the afternoon, says come and go with me(we both work at the same place and have to work 7-7). So here we go, he takes me to a couple of sloughs our employer owns, I meet a few feds that say they have been ORDERED to kill all of the comoronts on this particular hole. I'm like OK can we watch? They say NO!!! You can participate though!!!!
They tell us they are just getting setup and say to come by after I get off @ 7. I show up and only have an old funky mossberg in the truck at the time(don't ask). They hand me a Benelli auto, shells, and tell me to get in the boat. So here we go! I have never done anything like this before in my life!!! We are going through the sloughs and shooting all of the comoronts in sight!!!!! I did not know that many could live in such a small area!! If they would have let me take a few pictures, that would have been 1 for the WALL!!!! Talk about a shoot you and your father will always talk about!!

Shooting steel. And no I did not get to keep the Benelli!
Funny thing though the steel was not marked. Only with shot size, Dram, and Length in Olive Drab boxes. Shells were RED and Unmarked Brass. Never seen this. I have been around military rounds my whole life though. Weird. No, they did not let us keep any of them. Did not even let us sit around and help count. After hunt it was like OK it's over see ya'll later give the guns back, ya'll have any shells in your pockets? Thanks for the help! Ya'll shoot pretty good. SEE YA! Even my father said he had never seen shells like that. He served during the Vietnam ERA. Must have been a special run for them.
