I took a friend of mine that has never hunted ducks yesterday. Hmmmmmm let me see what was the count. Well we walked too 5 diffrent slashes, some off them not but 500 yds off the waterway. Never got the dekes out, didnt get the gun out. Never put the waders on drove about 90 miles round trip. Did NOT see one friggin duck not the first feather, not anything but ice, water and a blue sky!!!!!Looks like this season gonna end in a bust. Went out this morning about 8:30 and the most ducks i ever saw this season were flying around on a big slash. did not stay but probably 15 minutes cause i was going to work. But i had to stop long enough to see what they were. every one that i saw was mallards. I think i am getting to excited, but i will fing out for sure this evening and in the morning around 7 am.
