Johnnie Walker Blue Label

Postby Duck$$$ » Thu Feb 03, 2005 5:21 pm

Has anybody ever drank this and is it good? I started drinking a little scotch and a friend says it is good but expensive. Somebody let me know. Will probably have to stay with old crow and dewars but might try it.

The smoothest you'll ever drink. On the rocks is the only way to drink it.

I'm a scotch man when I drink liquor and Johnny Walker Black is my brand. I've heard of Blue label but never had it. Hard to beat JW Black and water for something to cut the edge after a long day.

Blue is good but not twice as good as compared to MaCallen or Glenlivet 18...I think I will get a glass and some ice and try a little as we speak.

I never "acquired" the taste for scotch......I'd rather eat Chitlin's with Don Miller and beer bong pabst blue ribbon at a summer blues festival than drink that $#!+!

Macallen, Dalwhinnie, Glenlivet, J. Walker Black, Dewer's ... in that order 50 40 30 20... If you are new to scotch try the Dal. it is not as dark, light on the peat, and very good neat!!.. stay away from the Fiddich.

I'm with CC on the blue bag.....never quite could figure out why anyone would want to drink or eat anything that required "acquiring a taste for it".....that's some nasty shIIIIIIitee! My Dad drank it and would get meaner than a damn rattlesnake that had been thrown on a hotplate.....It's just nasty....I think even the people that "like" it, don't really like it, they just drink it cause they think it makes them look important! hahhehehehahhaaa!
Just my opinion....

A buddy of mine made the mistake of ordering a drink of Blue Lable one night.

$60 glass of scotch!!!

Lucky he was with the boss and he picked up the tab on the company. That stuff better be good.

Blue label is over $200 a bottle. Go to sams and buy you a bottle of 12yr macallen. Thats the cheapest price ive found, 35 bucks.

Macallan is wonderful. All of it is good so let the vintage fit your pocket book.

Glen Livet, Macallen, Glen Fiddich, or Johnie Walker Black. All good Scotch's.

Johnie Walker Red is my favorite everyday Scotch. Much better than Dewars or Chevaz.

As soon as it starts to warm up I like Soli's Vodka, water, and lime twist. Ahhhh... Refreshing.
