Gulfcoast, I've got a Choclate that is 6 months old...love him to death. He retrieved 19 ducks this season on his own. (Proud Pappa).
Now on the other hand, he's chewed the wires of three of my boat trailers, two covers, one pair of waders, the door facing, hot tub cover, deck furniture, and two boards off the fence.
Ahhh, the love of labs.
Congrats to you and I hope your wife has patience.

Congrats! I have to agree with Rebelducky, put him in a kennell or he will chew any and everything in sight!! Especially a water hose, roll of #10 wire and a tire.

GulfCoast... Just when we got you set on hand signals and back command... you go and get a new dog... nothing better than watching you fetch ducks in 6 feet of water.

lab

Postby jdbuckshot » Wed Feb 02, 2005 3:33 pm

i got a black lab that 1 1/2 years, she doesn't chew anything, and she has stayed in the house most of her life. well temepered, never really hyper around the house untill you pull the bumpers out, she sleeps in my bed all the time! but i am in college and get to spend alot of time with her.

any way gc, congrats on the dog, lets see if she can get you a coke out of the fridge!
