I have always heard the ducks are fifty miles south of the freeze line.

They are around, they are just scattered due to all the water that is blanketing the delta.

I have been seeing a lot of ducks. Unfortunately they are not where I can hunt them. The places in the central delta I have seen them, I have seen a lot. At my holes NADA s*@t. The large concentrations I have seen have all been where the river has overflowed into fields that have good treelines. The weird thing is, the ducks aren't in the trees but dead in the middle of the water. No way to sneak/set up for them. What sucks worse than seeing no ducks is seeing them land where you can't get to them. I am frustrated. Going to deer hunt for a while.

Sure is nice to be a BUCK Hunter.......ain't heard no reports of 'em ever not making it down South. Nor have I ever heard about 'em flying off either.
