I have been shooting an SBE for 7 or 8 years and have been thinking about getting a new gun. First off I do like my SBE and have not had any real prblems with it. I like the way the Browning 3 &1/2 shoulders, but have heard a lot of bad stories about them jamming. The same goes for the Extrema. I have not heard a lot of anything about the SBE2.

I know that it is an OLD can of worms, but it seems that I have heard less griping about the newer Brownings than the older ones.

Wow, what a fresh topic!
I was told today that Beretta has discontinued the Xtrema, and will bring out the Xtrema II in 18 months or so after in-stock Xtrema I's are sold off. Shorter stock, lighter gun. Remains to be seen if this is true.

If you like the browning you might want to look at the Winchester
Super x 2. It is pretty much the same gun at a couple of hundred dollars less.
I have shot one for 2 years and I love it.
I haven't heard of any major problems with them either.
Just my .02

Beretta claims they fixed it.

I have not checked any of the new ones, but Webfoot's was purchased a year after mine and still had that sloppy booty creepy 12 pound trigger. Just add $60 bucks to the price for a trigger job and go on with life.
