One of my friends was invited to Stuttgart last week by his brother to go on a free hunt his brother had set up. After a few days of not killin crap the guide suggested "I have a friend who runs a tamie shooting preserve outside of town, So yall can kill some birds I line something up for yall". When they got there the guide told the owner of the preserve to let them kill 150 or so mallards. (there was 14 hunters) After the shoot they were loading up their gear, then rollls up Mr. Greenjeans. He came over to the owner of the preserve and started arguing with them about ,"not have a preserve licnese" the lodge owner state, "we have an injuction filed to stay open". The hunters started slowing easing to their trucks to get the hell out of dodge and they heard, "get yalls drivers license and hunting license out." All they could get out of the GW was, im just doing my job, i dont know if yall will ever hear anything about this or not and so on. He sperated the hens and greenheads and took pics. When I hear more Ill keep yall posted.

I have a great many thoughts on this post but just don't know which ones would be appropriate or worth typing. So, I just don't know what to say about that

I'll ponder em over and might get back to ya with something.

How does these tammy hunts work? I dont want to go on one, I think it is stupid. How can you seperate the tammy ducks from wild ducks? I would think around Stugart it would have ducks all around. What do they do, let em out of a pen? You know there is some wild ducks on the ponds.

I think I read somewhere that the tamie ducks have a hole punched through the web on one of their feet?

That sux! Hopefully the guide or the 'preserve' owner will take responsibility.
But I guess that is what you get for shooting tamies.

birds are trained to fly into and feed in a certain hole, then they get bushwahacked upon decent.

No different than fishing in a stocked lake...In my opinion...Tamies are generally "tagged" with a small hole in the web of thier feet for easy recognition. Hopefully they took pictures of that, or, they could be in for sum trouble. Y'all have a nice day!

tamies also have the rear toe clipped off at birth and also develop a big calus at the bottom of the foot. Wild birds don't have this, therefore should be no problem id ing the domestic ducks.
