With the abundance of snows and other geese my buds and I have decided to add goose hunting to our schedule (plus its an extra month of hunting). I have never down right hunted the things before, but managed to kill some snows, blues, and canadians on low fly-bys. I got a Zink's powermaximus canadian call that came with my finisher, but I need some tips from you guys that have a lot of experience callin'em in. Tell me what kinda of tones and pitches I need to use. I have listened to geese, and I know what sounds they make, but I don't know when to use them. We have some shells and rags, so throw in some setup tips if you don't mind.
Also...can you call snows and blues with a canadian call?
Thanks in advance,

In my experience, no.

For snows use alot of decoys. Get around 800 or so rags and mix in some shells. Place the shells throughout and several around your blind to help hide you. The GHG shaker sticks really but some motion into your spread, but do not put the motion ones close to you. Dig a hole to sit in and form a dirt mound to lean up against. Get a white non-glare jacket to wear. Use a snow goose call. Let most of the hunters make a feeding sound and one to do the honks and such. The most important thing is to find where they are feeding. If you see them feeding late one afternoon in a field, then get your butt up at 2 or 3 and go out there and set up. After sunrise they will come back and bingo. They can see very well, so you have to be very hidden. (Order an electric call) I am not an expert, but this is what I have learned so far.
Do you eat duck meat?
