we rode after this a.m. hunt andsaw 2 fields that had birds out of 25 fields we hunt???? we have one place that is flooded timber that is flooded into a rice field and a bean field for about 1 mile along the edge of the woods and it had several thousand ducks over it and we did pretty good this morning. the thing i don't understand is we have several flooded fields that don't have a bird but these 2 places are jammed full. they are staying in the deep water along the flooded timber and the fields are 10 ft under water so why are they there ????? we are only killing ducks on these places and tried to hunt a flooded field this afternoon and killed very few birds. we are going to hunt the woods until we can't get the boat in anymore because that is the only place that has birds.
sounds like wingman killed today also and has some good groups of birds to have killed so many. well' good luck everyone and hope ya'll kill them sooner than later.

Not me man, I haven't loaded my gun this season. I've seen a few in the woods, but most of what I've seen is in a large area of flooded fields; almost impossible to hunt because of the miles of water.

They may be eating the food floating on top of the water that used to be on the forest floor.

I LOVE DUCKING but, I also deer hunt.
NO WATER, last 2 years, NO ACORNS.
FLOODED TIMBER, now, PLENTY ACORNS.
Ducks love floating acorns.
Plus the security of woods.
I also wear my waders deer hunting.
GOT TO LOVE NEOPRENE
