Birds In Tallahatchie County?

Birds In Tallahatchie County?

Just Curious...I do quite a bit of public hunting around this state, but when i heard a report that Tallahatchie county had some birds i was stumped .....any idea what some good public hunting is near Tallahatchie county...and secondly...is the report correct that the birds are there?

Try O'keefe WMA, it's not in Tallahatchie County, but just a hair North of the line in Quitman County(Generally all the same area).

what is the terain in o'keefe?...timber frilds sloughs? have you been there this year? if so any luck?

yes. The birds have been there. Not as many this past weekend. Don't know of any public land besides the river itself. I hunt a private lease with rice and beans. We killed 25 1st weekend, only 4 2nd weekend, and 18 this past weekend. Biggest problem we have had is tooooo much water. Good luck on the public land.
