Had a very good hunt this morning. 5 of us limited out on mallards and killed 4 gadwalls, a total of 24. North Central Delta. Saw a lot of ducks today.

LOOKS LIKE NEW DUCKS ARE MOVING IN...SAW
QUITE A FEW IN MARKS THIS A.M...WEST OF
HWY 3

TALKED TO A MAN THAT WAS AROUND THE COLWATER BOTTOMS AND HE SAW A GOOD NUMBER OF HIGH
BIRDS ALSO...ONLY PROBLEM IS THEY HAVE WAY
TOO MANY CHOICES RIGHT NOW.

ILL TELL YOU WHAT...WE GOING TO GET OUR BUTT
KNOCKED OFF IF THE COLD HITS AND WE GET ONE OF THESE MOSTURE SYSTEMS UP FROM THE SOUTHWEST LIKE WE'VE BEEN GETTING, WE'LL WAKE
UP WITH A FOOT OF SNOW OR ICE ON THE GROUND

Scouted around this afternoon, saw a few thousand ducks but it's about 1 duck per acre of water. Found some good flooded timber that usually doesn't flood until we get alot of rain like this. I'll take the snow and ice...the ole Husqvarna ice breaker is sittin' on go.

I went scouting and fishing this evening and only saw about 9 ducks in my whole local marsh. But I bet I saw 9,000 coots. I am seriously thinking about taking up coot hunting.....

First day of the second split in southeast La. Went to the marsh and saw maybe ten birds. Got lucky and killed the six that came in, (two greem wings, two mottled, and two grays). I will not go back until a cold front come through. GulfCoast is right, there are no birds left on the coast! Jack

Shoot them sprigs on their first pass!

Central Delta...we saw a few less birds than last week. Two hunters killed 4 mallards. Water sounded like Niagra Falls going over the road.

Hey GC, come on up to Vicksburg for a guaranteed limit of coots. I can put you on 'em like white on rice. Could also hook you up with a good "Black Goose" hunt too.
