Awwwwww, did you not like the taste of your own nonsense?

Actually the poster is true - every word of it, and I dare you to disprove it with facts, facts that are backed up with any link except the DNC web site.

I'll bet the brain trust of you and your buddy, the Legend, can't disprove a word of it, even if you use the AFL-CIO newsrag to research! 8)

If it ain't true, prove it ain't, or back off, back up, back down and back away from the truth 'cause you don't like the truth!

Here are some facts for you to chew on. There has not been one piece of gun legislation passed since the Brady Bill. Sure there are idiots like Feinstein and Boxer who keep bringing up old bills in hopes of trying to get something changed. Those bills rarely even make it to committe and if they do they never get the votes to go to the floor. Gun control is a dead issue. There's just not the support there to get anything passed. There are 95+ million gun owners in the United States and many of those are Democrats. Turning that many votes against you would be disastrous for a politican on a national level. With the exception of the above mentioned ding dongs the NRA and The Republicans do most of the talking about gun issues. The NRA needs to keep you scared so you will keep sending them money. It seems to be working since they have obtained over a million new members since they started this stragey inspite of no legislation being voted on. The same can be said for the Republicans but they won't your money and your vote. They know that all they have to do is make God, guns, and gays the issues and the red necks will line up behind them like sheep to the slaughter. Doesn't matter that they oppose every issue that will help the blue collared worker get ahead. The anti's have pegged a lot of gun owners correctly when they say they view their guns as extensions of their penis's. I've probably owned a gun for more years than you are old but their not the most important issue in my life. If it ever gets down to my having to chose to support my family or owning a gun it would be a no brainer. It should be for you as well but obviously it's not. Top Democratic strategist James Carvell was recently quoted as saying that gun control was a dead issue. Those Democrats that had sided with gun control legislation had used bad strategy and had changed their position. He went on to say that he like guns. You may be able to scare a few with your fear tatics but it won't work on those of us who know better.

Here are some facts for you to chew on.

Oh, goodie. Snacks.

There has not been one piece of gun legislation passed since the Brady Bill. Sure there are idiots like Feinstein and Boxer who keep bringing up old bills in hopes of trying to get something changed. Those bills rarely even make it to committe and if they do they never get the votes to go to the floor.

No kidding. While I was chewing on your alleged "facts" I noted the Brady Bill was passed in 1993. Next was the The Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act passed in 1994. This nifty bill, denied to exist by you is the one that banned the evil clips that hold over 10 rounds and banned 19 semi-auto weapons because they looked bad. Then, The Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban of 1996 (which you deny exists) banned anyone convicted of a misdemeanor domestic violence offense from buying or owning a gun.
Then, in 1998 (another one you claim was never passed)the senate approves an amendment requiring gun dealers to have trigger locks available for sale and creating federal grants for gun safety and education programs.
1999 - May 20 (again!)
By a 51-50 vote, with the tie-breaker vote cast by Vice President Gore, the Senate passes a bill requiring trigger locks on all newly manufactured handguns and extending waiting period and background check requirements to sales of firearms at gun shows.
Many other bills have been introduced and many have made it to committee in spite of what you state to be facts. A partial list follows.
S 534 intro'd by Toricelli, 03/04/99 sent to committee (also intro'd as HR920)
HR902, to regulate the sales at gun shows, sent to committee 03/02/1999.
S637, 3/16/99 sent to committee.
HR2127 referred to committee 6/10/1999.

Since your first two sentences after you promised me some "facts" are so wrong, I'm not inclined to continue with the rest of your piece. I've quote a block of it below. If there are any "facts" in there, point 'em out to me. Most of it is tired, old union brainwashing crapola spoon-fed to democrats that seem to lap it up. "sheep to the slaughter" "blue-collared worker get ahead" what a load of non-facts, just propaganda and slogans. Like I said, if there's a fact in the below block, point it out to me and back it up with something besides attitude. Oh, maybe the NRA has gained a million new members. I wouldn't know. And isn't the democratic mantra that the repubs are the rich guys? What are the rednecks doingin there (according to you?).

I've probably owned a gun for more years than you are old

Maybe so, maybe not. How long have you owned a gun? Let's find out.

If it ever gets down to my having to chose to support my family or owning a gun it would be a no brainer. It should be for you as well but obviously it's not.

You promised facts. The above isn't facts, nor even sensible. Nobody is asking either of us to make this choice. Where are the facts you said you would provide? I haven't seen a fact yet!

Well, at least you found a partial fact in there. But you carefully and cleverly left out a real important part of Carvell's quotation (or perhaps it was edited out of the DNC release you probably read). Below is the entire quotation by Carvell:

"I don’t think there’s a Second Amendment right to own a gun
, but I think it’s a loser political issue. I think the issue has not been good for us. On top of that, I like guns."

And my challenge stands. You haven't disproved a single word of the poster. The four nitwits pictured did indeed vote to do the things they are alleged to have voted for. Shows clearly where they stand on the issues. The fact that they lost is just proof of how much of a fringe element they are on the political scene.

My challenge stands. And you said you were gonna give me "some facts to chew on"???
You haven't even offered a breath mint!

Senate Bill S 1431 is a current bill co-sponsored by none other than John Kerry and the others in the ad.

This bill bans the Colt AR-15, Bushmaster, Ruger Mini-14, M1 carbine, 1927 Thompson and many others.

It also bans semi-auto shotguns which possess a pistol grip, which would include Benelli's Super Black Eagle and M1 Steady Grip guns: Benelli USA

Do we need our politicians defining what legal guns are???

The Second Ammendment makes no attempt to classify guns and does not preserve the sanctity of "sporting guns" over others.

So beware those who attempt to do so.
