Wasn't there a cooking forum at some time? Did it go away when the refit happened awhile back? If so did those threads get erased, or are they archived somewhere?

I think Rocky merged the other subforums to the general forum.

After seeing this thread i started to think about Sam's buttermilk pie recipe. Had some buttermilk and pie crust wasting away in the fridge so "What the hell". Best think I ate all day long.

here is a link to one ramsey posted that has a few different recipes (this link has benny's recipe on it)

link to a recipe BradBynum posted that is a good one and one that BrandonVet posted a little further up the page that I use most of the time, with a few twists of my own of course.

I found these threads by searching "roux"

i have to admit that I've bought hothouse tomatoes in the off season to make tomato pies...always seem to search here for a good recipe, first, before venturing out into the wide wide internets!

...and i have made sam's buttermilk pie on occasion, myself, after thinking about all the flavors of the get togethers over the years. good stuff!!!

Thanks man, I looked at a couple using "roux" as well, but those aren't the one that i used before. I managed to wrangle a really good one out of the wifes cousin, so all is good now. His was much better than the one i had cooked before.
