What gives. What kind of whacko pulls this stunt. I am sure the anti-gun crowd will be all over this.

Very odd deal. Islamic State has taken credit for the killings saying he converted months ago but there's no proof from either side right now of any sort of terrorist ties. Either way, prayers sent to all involved. Can't imagine the things that go through these peoples minds to justify these type actions.

This is exactly what I have been fearing for a while now. I knew it was a matter of time before someone with enough gun expertise and planning can pull off. This wasn't a guy that just snapped. He very carefully planned this attack out in very precise detail. You don't sneak a dozen fully auto weapons through casino security without carefully panning ahead. Why he chose that venue is one we may never know. What it shows is exactly how vulnerable we are every day and we are never completely safe. This guy flew under the radar with no record etc but still had something going on to plan such a horrible act.

Prayers for all affected. Very sad day in the USA.

What is sad is some of the comedians already joking etc about this or the cbs lawyer that said most country music fans were republicans so they deserved it. This kind of rhetoric should NOT be tolerated.

I am sure the AR ban will be a hot topic in the coming weeks.

When the voices in someones head get really loud, I guess they switch to crazy.

Their is no real defense to this type of attack either, that really bothers me. A Nutburger on the high ground raining lead from afar, run or find cover? What else is there? Bringing a handgun to a fully automatic rifle fight at 100+ yards is not a plan.

And another thing. People just will not put down their cell phones, they keep filming while they're getting shot at and then they keep filming in the middle of sidewalk triage, instead of cramming their shirt in the hole or grabbing the other end of a makeshift stretcher and helping. Oh no, can't do that, just keep my cell phone going. WTF?

This morning it went from 20 dead, then to 50, then 59 now? "@#$%#" awful.

400 yards plus, with no cover between them, and the shooter had the high ground. I am surprised it wasn't worse. I am sure it took a few clips to even determine where the shots were coming from. Sad deal.

Anything on Motive? Or was it just a crazy snap?

Scary for sure. Prayers for those involved.

It ain't adding up. He had over $100k worth of weapons. His girlfriend just happened to be out of the country and worked at the casino. He had cameras set up inside and outside the room to watch who's coming. Also there are some reports of a couple that got kicked out of the concert that was saying "All of you are going to die". I can't believe this is a one man show and I don't believe we are being told the facts right now.

Definately not a snap. He planned this for a long while. Getting rooms with view needed, getting girlfriend out of country, cameras to set up, how to get 20 guns in casino hotel without suspicion. Most well thought out and planned mass murder ever. I would imagine he was smart enough to even keep his digital tracts clean as well which is what is killing the investigation searching for motive.

They now have the girlfriend that will have the only insight into daily life etc and maybe can help out but I would bet she is being told and advised to lawyer up and say nothing until guaranteed immunity is established. Without her they have nothing much as he seemed to be a complete loner although a rich one.

This one will puzzle the law enforcement for some time I suspect.

I hate how quickly some are politicizing this like the congressman etc that refused to participate in the moment of silence. This is about the victims now and plenty of time for politics later.

At least this may have had one positive if there could be...... The NFL has a lot less kneeling now and I suspect the few that do will go the way of kaperdick. Kudos to all first responders that lay their life on the line every day. Wonder if now the Cowboys could have stickers honoring the slain???

It took 2 clips before they even figured out it was a gun shooting.

Curious isn't it. The official story starts falling apart, and suddenly not a single news outlet cares to investigate further.
