Pretty amazing what State has been able to do with all the injuries to the pitching staff. I thought for sure this year was going to be a write off.
Re: Some guy named rooker
I'm afraid this thread may have jinxed him.

Knew it had to slow down a little at some point. Pitching staffs starting to work around him some and throw low and away when he does get pitched to. As Cannizaro said last night, he's gonna have to make some adjustments now that the pitchers are changing their approach. Has done surprisingly well at 1st though.
On a lighter note, pretty funny everybody's been making a big deal about Gridley missing Sat's game for his sisters wedding but they've decided to play a double header today instead because of the weather. So he won't miss a game.

controversial play to finally end the game (ball hit baserunner from 2nd on the foot), but with only 1 out and bases loaded the runner at 3rd was already headed home for the winning run @ 1:50 in the a.m.!!! I would be really surprised if there was an adult beverage left unopened, after almost 10 hrs in the stadium!
Experience is a freakin' awesome teacher...

He's 4-0 against OMU this year.

Got to witness that 3 run bomb last night. No doubter from the time it left the bat.

Really glad to see him doing so well. He comes from good folks and I hope he makes a bunch of money once he makes the leap to MLB.
I am interested in purchasing duck calls that were made by Mike McLemore. I am a family member and they have a sentimental value.

Drafted in the 38th round last year by the Twins and went 35th overall to them last night. Projected to sign for somewhere around $1.9M. One heck of a season for that dude. Decided to stay another year and it paid off tremendously. Congrats to that dude.

What a wise decision he made staying in school an extra year. More players need to take notes.

I haven't even thought about the Twins since Kirby Puckett. Man I used to like watching Kirby play. He was a jolly ole dude.
