So......how many hours a day should a duck sit on the eggs?
There are two ducks depositing eggs in the same nest......about 15 eggs so far.....but neither duck sits on the eggs for extensive periods of time. Someone told me that since the ducks were "raised in an incubator" they may not sit on the eggs / know what to do.
Just tying to figure out whether to put the eggs in an incubator myself, or let nature run it's course.....
Another duck nesting question.....

Re: Another duck nesting question.....
I have a little experience with this from last year. We had a hen nest in our yard last year and when she started sitting she left the nest as little as possible, and stayed all night every night.
The "raised in an incubator" theory does not seem to hold much water, I would think that would be instinctive and not learned.
If you have any doubt put them in an incubator.
